The man widely thought to have inspired horror film The Texas Chainsaw Massacre died yesterday of suspected heart failure.
Dr Robert Kleasen, 70, was once on Death Row for the murders of two missionaries in Texas. But he was later freed on a legal technicality. In 1990 he moved to Lincolnshire but was jailed in 2000 for gun offences.
He had been fighting extradition to the US to face a retrail for the murders.
Kleasen was taken on Thursday from Belmarsh prison to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, London, where he died early yesterday.
Pretty ****ing mad how he got off Death Row and was living in Britain eh? He could have been one of our neighbours and we would have never known it was actually him since he had a new name and Identity. |
