Probably either The Clash or The Ramones. They're both old school and basically pioneered punk music. I'm not exactly a punk afficianado though, so I could be completely off-base.

Sum41 isn't really punk, more like crap rock.

Good Charlotte isn't punk either there more crap rock too -- maybe with the exception of their older material which still lingered on the same musical level as New Found Glory.

Of that list undoubtely The Clash since they were one of the founding fathers of punk music.

Though I appreciate The Clash's importance and qaulity, I don't actually like them that much, so I'm going with Less Than Jake.

The only proper punk band there is The Clash, so I guess them, out of all punk bands, either Bane or The Misfits.

I vote real punk pioneers like the Velvet Undergrounds, the clash, Dead Kennedys, etc., everything after seems to have forgotten what Punk music really stood for and got to dragged away with their image, and yes many to money.

Should I laugh my friggin buttocks off?
let me just stae the following-
New found glory, Good charlotte, sum 41, less than jake, are all new age punk... Which is basically just rock... So they shouldn't be put under punk with the clash... If you want to put the clash in you should have put it in with the sex pistols, the damned (even though they suck) and others... True punk died a long time ago as my enlightened brother LL put it... So I vote the clash!
Train in vain, Rock the casbah, London Burning, London Calling, Koka Kola, all excellent songs... My mind is feeling foggy so i can't remember the others...

Sooo, you want we should start calling new punk Nu Punk?

Doesn't matter much to me what a band is, as long as I like them. It seems to me that that is a fairly good philosophy...

But yeah, if The Clash are in, so should be loads of others.
