hey guys you need to if you havnt already read the lord of the rings book.....THEY ROCK and even though theres th cool movies there still cool to read.......i wish J.R.R. tolkien was still alive to do some more.

yeah those books r awesome I've read the Hobbit, and I'm reading The Fellowship of the rings now, im at the part where they are going to Weathertop

I own nearly every book to do with J.R.R Tolkiens work and have read nearly all of them. LotR rules.

I don't really think LotR qualifies as the "ultimate book" (if there is such a thing), it's not dynamic enough for that. But I still love and worship it for the magnificent alternate reality it offers. Heh, and allows me to escape into. =) At one time I was completely obsessed with it.
I've read The Hobbit / The Annotated Hobbit, The Lord of the rings, The Adventures of Tom Bombadil and Other Verses from the Red Book, The Silmarillion, Unfinished tales, The Book of Lost Tales, Part I, The Book of Lost Tales, Part II, The Lays of Beleriand, The Shaping of Middle-earth, The Lost Road and Other Writings...

And I strongly recommend you not to go anywhere near them if you don't want to end up as screwed up as I am. Uhh... *glance* Or doze, I presume... *freak*

That's a lot of books I have never heard of. I will look into those but yeah the lotr is one of the top series of books in the world.
