Wich of this Metal Genre do you preffer?

I'm really not sure how to categorize those. Slayer is the only metal I listen to that I would consider death metal probably. I dont know what the difference between that and Doom or black metal is really.
But to answer your question: Symphonic and/or Melodic (Rhapsody, Blind Guardian, Iced Earth, In Flames etc) |

Jejeje , The metal you listen, that's power metal, but it's pretty cool the coolest of those is rhapsody, I listen to those bands to, but rhapsody surpasses em all.Slayer is classified as death metal.
I personally like doom metal and gothic bands like Tristania, theatre of tragedy, Theatre des vampires, the sins of thy beloved and Lacrimosa
Black metal are bands such as: Emperor, dark tranquillity, samael, Marduk, Moonspell, dark funeral, Umbra et imgao, etc.
Death metal are bands like: Slayer, Gorefest, Annal Nhatrak, Impaled nazarene, Cephalic carnage and Cannibal corpse.
Power metal are bands like: Iced earth, Blind guardian, Gamma ray, rhapsody, Sonata Artica, Mago de Oz, Rata Blanca, etc |

The diference between those genres are the type of lyrics they sing, and the style of the music for example:
Black Metal: The Lyrics speak about things that go aganist religion.
Doom metal / Gothic: Their rymes ar e very different, their songs are usually acompanied of three Vocals: Extreme, Soft and a woman that usually sings sofkly for exmaple tristania or theter of tragedy.
Death metal: The rymes of this music are very fast, and the topics of their lyrics are about death, killing, defleshing, and other stuff like sklayer, cannibal corpse, Death and Cephallic carnage.
Power/simphony/melodic Metal: The rymes are usually acompained by classic music programed an Sinthetized, many of them talk about heroic battles or Angels, etc. like rhapsody, angra, etc.

well, I'm more into the progressive metal genre, like DT, but I guess otherwise I listen to a lot of melodic metal, and hard rock/metal genres, I'm not to much into death or that whole tear your heart out with the spoon act....
I wouldn't consider Extreme a doom/goth metal,..
I'd consider then funk metal and that's a pretty fun genre as well.
and bands like angra, rhapsody, camelot, etc.. can be considered epic metal.. But there are so many catigories that there are bands that fit into many catigories.. I kind of lost track and just listen to anything that catches my ear really., |

| idk i just listen to metal and rock in general. i like slayer. metallica, black sabbath, manowar, megadeath, i like it all. whats the difference between metal and rock? i'm not realy into that label bull****. just a marketing tool if you ask me. |

I don't rely on classifing music in diferent genres, thats true it's just marketing, but If I ask wich is the music you like, maybe all those idiots that like pop music would post here.
And on second I classify 'em just because many people would call me ignorant If I don't classify the music genres as they should be, tough i'ts the same all those genres are the same they are variants from the base music that we call Rock. |
