You don't need to know much aboutt he first two performances. They bored me to tears.... or at least to yawns. One was a Mozart piece, another was.... oh crud, I can't even remember. But anyway....

Have you guys watched Babe? And Babe II: Pig in the City? You know the theme song? In the first movie the farmer sings it t the pig, in the second all the animals sing it to the chimpanzee who gave birth?

Well... apparently, it was taken from th Fourth Moment in Camille Saint-Saen's 3rd Symphony...

It was like, the string section was playing and playing all thse cniredibly fast notes and it was really excellent, then the organ came into pla and it was ONE BIG BLAST OF NOTES!

It was so defining at that moment... I mean, our Philharmonic PETRONAS Hall is one of the greatest halls in the world now and the organ just blasting out the chord that began the theme was just so..... O_O!!!! And the organist played that theme and it sounded REALLY great in the hall that day... the orchestra was in GREAT SHAPE... I've never seen it more lively. All the sections were playing together and it was hard to draw out the sound of any one section; it was such total harmony in the melody.

The second half of the concert was DEFINITELY something.... Camille Saint-Saens isn't the kind of composer whom you'd call talented, but he had the spirit of it.

The encore was just as excellent. I believe it's a composition of a Hungarian dance.... I have Hungarian Dance no. 5, but I haven't got around to finding out more about the composer or the music.... The string section AGAIN did fantastic.

Well, don't eat me about it >_<.

Hence, my recommendation of Symphony No. 3 by Camille Saint Saens as listening material.
