I have no idea how I thought up this thread, but last night, I was thinking up thread ideas and this came to mind. It may be a bit odd, but put some serious thought into your posts and this thread could turn out to be quite interesting.

Imagine that you are stranded on an island in the middle of the ocean. What would you do in your spare time? What would you do to survive?

Grab my laptop which I will undoubtedly have in such occasions, and simply write my story and build the occasional fire to attract passing ships/planes or so..

What, laptop broken? Noooooooooo!

Okay... I would probably do most of the stuff Tom Hanks did except I probably wouldn't have Ice skates or video tape. Also, I wouldn't have been an idiot like him: instead of making the fire out of wood rubbed together, I would use the flint and a rock, since he used a piece of flint to cut the coconut open. I would also make a small desalinizator for the water with my fire and Be able to eat and drink heartily until I am rescued! (How's that for thought!)
