This thread is for people to talk about what we can do with the AIM chat. We can't go on forever just being lucky enough to find someone in there.
What about clan meetings, friends chatting in there because of convienience? I for one, want to chat with FFR members in the chat, but don't want to have to sit logged on waiting to see if people will be on either.
So maybe we should post meeting times? Like what time is good for some members to be on AIM, if you don't have AIM or are having touble, then you can post here for help.
This thread could be a general "What's What" about the AIM chat times. Make AIM an extra part of the Board. So that people can say "I've never chatted with that person before, and they said that (This Time) would be good for them. I think I'll login".
I could type smilies in the empty AIM box all day, but I don't want to, I just would like an easier way for people to communicate their feelings on the use of the chat. And what times they might be on to chat with people, this would also imply what times you will be available to post for threads.
Just trying to make the chat more than a button on the side of the page...
Chat Times:
I am usually on late like 10:00 P.M. - 1:00 A.M. USA-CentralTime. I can also be found lurking around during the day sometimes. Like around 10:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. USA-CentralTime.
Advice On AIM:
When you login to FFR, turn on the AIM chat. If you don't want to chat with the people in there, then don't, wait 'til later. Just leave it open and check it every once in awhile. Then you'll probablly not miss someone who you wanted to chat with, and if you do, you still might be able to chat with whoever is in there. (Hopefully)

| I sort of agree with the group meeting thing, and you put forward some good points, but, since I don't use AIM.... :P |

Yeahhhh.. That's kinda... What ... I meant... O_o.
Post when you will be on, and if anyone asks, posts if you are on. But please don't continuously clutter the place with "I'm on AIM" posts.

I see what you mean, it would get clutterd and spammy really fast, and I don't want to 'cause something like that.
I went into the AIM Chat today, and 6 people were in there. Alright! It seems at least mentioning it helped raise awareness. Afterlab should advertise it more maybe, because one person said they hadn't ever seen it before. O_o
I stayed on from 7:38 P.M. CentralTime-USA -- To -- 3:00 A.M. CentralTime-USA.
Everyone left after 11:20 P.M. But I left it on, seeing if the night shift of people would login.
Nope... heh. Don't worry, I was posting at WRX's forum, posting here, talking to BDS members. I just had it opened, I didn't sit there all night waiting for AIM to open. I just took my own advice and left it open until I signed off... which is right after I post this...
The Time Is: Around 3:00 A.M. | USA-CentralTime.
Buh-Bye - See you people To-...Laters (Lol),
