Why and When did you begin to explore the vast corners of the forum?

Why and when did you begin visiting forums? Was it because you needed help in a game, because you wanted to have a high post count and become "cool" or is it because you are a lonely computer geek who needed some friends?  |

-started joining forums about 1.5 years ago and my first forum was InsideFF.
-I joined at first to get help on FFVII then I started joining forums to talk to people who like FF and whatnot since my friends only like sports games... |

I post at this forum because element does. It's a pretty unique forum and I think that its got some great people here.
That and I like pestering the n00bs. |

| Good question (and good thread idea, I must add.. Here's 600RP). I'd say that I started coming to forums because of their larger communities. I think my first forums I ever started going to would be the old UPNetwork (anyone remember them?) or UBBHacks (like UBBDev, but years before). I wish I could actually remember though.. Anyways, back to topic, Message Boards are like chat rooms personal chat rooms, but more organized, and with more personality and member customization. |

| Actually, I joined here, my first forum, because of the golden boys (the members that made the golden age) telling me to. That would be BD, Shadow/shinigami/mr banman, axeon/sanosuke, and solid snake. They reccomended me although I didn't give them the satisfaction of an addition to their gil bank hehe. |
