FFR is dying.
I cannot deny that. But I also cannot accept that. We have to do something. This place is not just for Final Fantasy discussions, but the meet friends, discuss the world, and maybe even fall in love...
FFR has been more then just a convenience community - it was at one time a place I considered Home more then my own. The people here were friends and Brothers and Sisters...
I donīt care whether or not Iīm a mod or what. All I really wanted was the power to change FFR. To keep it from failing and falling, to be the comrade it leans on, just like countless others have leaned on it... There must be something that can be done...
Of course FF topics are dry, but then, is modern politics dry? Your own problems dry? Cīmon people, if you have a problem, according to figures there are SIX THOUSAND ears to listen, Six Thousand tears that will fall for you, and six thousand pairs of arms that can comfort you. But that isnīt happening... For Godīs sake... this place is an insult to Eric and the others who created so much, including myself. Even Rei, who died cared deeply for the people of FFR.
We have to turn this place around, and make it home again. We can do it... We can band together and do it, both Staff and Members alike. Cīmon... an active forum you can call home is just beyond the door, but itīll take a load of us to come together before that monolithic portal will open. But we can do it.
We just have to try. |

| I've only been here for 2 weeks and already I love this place. I completely agree that we have to do something, and when we decide on what to do, I'll help as much as possible. I'm just not sure where/ how we should start. We should gather some ideas. |

I don't mean to be the first one to throw crap in your face in this new age of FFR, but sit back and relax dude. Not everyone in the world has time for FFR, and after all these fixes, I'm sure that everything will be back to normal as soon as possible. Being as it may that it feels like an insult to Eric and Rei, by saying that, you're basically spitting in the faces of the people who are working on fixing the site right now. |

I am just trying to encourage posting and activity... Id never insult people fixing these forums.. Ive been a member here for Five years, and Id hate to see it die. Im in the best hotel management school in the world, with 18 hour work days, and I still have time to go on FFR twice a day.
Why, cos Iīm committed. Not saying you arenīt, but this forum has a special... place in my heart. |

It was the home of *** that Matt has mentioned. I'm not very fond of ***, but they're not horrible guys. Just out for a laugh and some pisstaking. They're just indecent is all. Abel has been served punishment for what he was doing, which was setting up the site's URL to redirect to the new ***. Actually, in all truth *********** was actually a merging of FFOF, Fool's Gold, and *** that was called the ******** a few months ago. However, *** was recently shut down on account of having pirated vBulletin software. I don't really know what's going on with *********** right now, but I don't really care enough to check it out.  |

I don't believe you have any logical argument to classify **** as "indecent." Take a good look at the site; I defy you to find anything indecent.
Your Libel, Slander, and Defamation is grounds for a lawsuit!
About FFR: I've been here for what, a year now? And it's never been interesting enough to post consistently at, even when it was active. The only reason people keep buying this site is because money can be made off of the fact that there is a lot of old forum material. Having an active community is an impossible task and would add no value to the website as a whole.
Sure, there are a few noobs that think their "good ideas" can impact and save the community, but there have been much more able minds in the past that have failed to resurrect this place. And the noobs go as fast as they come. It's never going to be as good as it was years ago. Be realistic. |
