Cannibalism?

If you were forced with a situation of no food except for other people (Nothing to eat or drink at all, except other people) would you resort to cannibalism? Not killing them, but eating people who have died.
Personally I'd go insane from hunger before I ate anyone, then who knows what I'd do after I went insane. :messed: |

| I think I'd refuse to eat a person, but who knows u have to be in that situation and probably my answer would be different then. |

There is a story about three men who were wrecked far out on to the open sea. They ended up floating on an emergency raft for a very long time. One of them was sick, and his health deteriorated a lot faster than the others. When several days had gone by (I don't remember how many) he had moved into unconsciousness, his breathing was unsteady and his pulse weakinening. The two other mean decided in their desperation that they would kill him, and eat him, since they were both growing weaker rapidly and the prospects for the third man was that he was going to die in any case, unless they were saved in a couple of hours.
It so happened that they actually were saved the day that followed, and when they returned home the question if they were to be punished according to the law for killing a man, arose.
I don't remember the outcome of that either.. But what do you think of cannibalism in that particular case? It is a true story mind you, I'm sure it can be looked up in some sort of english court archive or something...
I think it's almost impossible to anticipate ones actions if ending up in such a situation. Hmm.. The strenght of humans instinc for survival should not be underrestimated... |

| I'd sure as hell eat someone to survive. So would all of you. If you were starving, near death, and going to die in a horribly abominable situation, cannabilism would seem neccesary. Besides, Survival of the Fittest ladies and gentlemen. Don't think that cannibalism is immoral and wrong, other animals do it all the time. So don't try to lie and make yourself seem "holier than though." |

| yes of course,you will do ANYTHING when your about to die and you can prevent it or at least give yourself a chance of surviving.You never know you might like the taste of human flesh. |

What are you, stupid?
Of course you would eat human meat rather than be tortured. I know just a handful of torture methods (from reading) and all of them would make you want to eat anything rather than bear them. You're just lying to yourself if you say that. |
