Arkeus takes a deep breath. Yet another stop on his travels brings him under a commanding officer. He studies Kaosu thoughtfully, making no judgement but learning all he can before anything happens. He smiles.
"I've yet to receive any rank, commander." |

| Kaosu looks at him. "You are of a mere foot soldier. You must work for any further rank. Now, we are to practice our fighting skills. I will wait for each of you in the courtyard." He walks to the front door in between each of them and walks to it waiting on them. |

Arkeus smiles once again.
"I've never been anything more," he says to himself and turns to follow his commander. |

Dromar steps out of a darkened alcove, smoke whirling about his lithe body. "Now Kaosu, what have I told you about assuming one dead unless you see a corpse?", Dromar began, a smile settling on his face.
He turns to his newest recruits in turn, first upon the only female within the Band. "Halo, your majesty, I expect much from you. I'd like to see what you're made of in arms combat, as well as you, Elayne. But first,"his steely gaze sweeps the through the Band members, one-by-one, "we must grow stronger as a unit."
Dromar turns to Arkeus, the newest member of the Band. Extending his hand, he slowly begins, "Good to meet you, Sir Arkeus. I can only hope you'll stay with us and improve your status. There's much to learn, and much to do."
Finally Dromar turns back to Kasou. "Thank you for taking over in my steed, my trusted friend, but I am back and here to stay. Let us have a drink, brother." Dromar smiles and walks over to the counter-top where the Band keeps their refreshments. Pulling out a bottle of the most expensive whiskey, Dromar pours six glasses full, offering each to one member. "To the glory that follows", as he gulps down the potent liquid with a smile. |

"I think it's important to keep a balance in things. Yeah, balance, that's the right word. Cause the guy who wants too much risks losing absolutely everything. Of course, the one who wants too little from life, might not get anything at all."
"I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end."

Looking about, focusing on Elayne, Dromar taps his fingers along the counter-top. "You're yet to prove much to me, but I completely agree. The rank of Sergeant seems to be a bit more appropriate for one of your stature," he concludes with a slight smile, "and since I'm feeling so generous, Arkeus, you're now an Infantrymen compared to a Foot Soldier. Just don't let me down."
Dromar looks at his newly-appointed Sergeant, quite happy with the decision, and even happier with the fact that Elayne had the nerve to stand-up and ask for the promotion. "My friends, thank you." |

OoC: Glad to see you finally come around, Brit.
Dromar looks wearily upon the newest patron, half-sizing her up, half taking in an eye-full. "Karin," he says with a slight nod, "there's only one rank worthy of one of your stature and respectability. Therefore, I must appoint you my Five-Star General, if only you shall accept." Dromar extends his hand outward. |
