I need advice on my job...

| I have a big decion to make about my job. I work with a bus girl named courtney, i have been crazy about her for quite some thime, we work together. But the resturant is closing, the ooks have been treating me like **** and my boss is an idiot. On sat night there was 2 dishwashers scheduled, i showed up the other didnt, he had a soccer tournemnt. The cooks told me it was a dick in the ear. My boss said that i need to deal with it, and the servers dont care. I got no help throughout the night and no one cared... the bartender made me leave b4 i was done because he thoughtit was bull **** that i was alone. My boss cant fire me because i am one of the few dishwashers left. I need to figure out if its worth sticking it out down there so that i can be around courtney and have better chances or quit and not have to dea with my ****ty ass job. The only good thing that is keeping me down there is that one of the cooks is trying to hook me up with courtney...what shoyuld i do, thanx for reading this, i'll take any advice you have |

first try to get the grl, if u do then u can quit your job, if u don't get her then quit it newayz. so my opinion is stay until u hook up wit the girl then bound.  |

| I say quit the job, but not before you have another lined up and waiting for you immidiatly after you quit - say, start the new job the day after you leave the other so you don't have to wait around and lose money. I'd say any other job is better than where you are at the moment. If you really like this girl, you can still go after her, even if you change jobs. It sounds is if you are not really getting along with a lot of the other people in your workplace and she's the only reason why you stay. Before you go to another job, tell her how you feel and find out how she feels about you. If you have not said anything or done anything to show her how much you care for her before now, than she may never know. (Hope that helps, I also hope it makes sense!!!) |

Alright.. Listen.
I believe, you should quit that job as SOON as possible. Useing that job for a lever in an attempt to raise the bar in your relationship with the girl is a HORRIBLE idea. TERRIBLE.
Work and Love should NEVER mix in that way, I'm almost posotive you could find a much more pleasant job that pays much more. Don't put up with that ****, you have the right to quit. You sound miserable there, get out ASAP. Find a new job before you leave, and look quickly.
As far as the girl goes, you like HER -- not the job. If she were to quit, I'm sure you wouldn't go as far as to tracking down where she worked and working there. Don't let her control your career. Make sure you have a stable job you can deal with.. I suggest simply telling her you'd like to get to know her better before you leave ,and explain the situation and why you are quitting to her.
Get her telephone number, and work on the relationship from there.. I STRONGLY suggest NOT telling her you like her if you don't know her away from work that well. Give it some time over the phone, or after a few get togethers. Hopefully everything will go well, and at the very least you'll have a new job you enjoy. Good Luck. |
