No plans for an attack have been set in motion yet, it's too risky. Bush's approval ratings are down 60%, polls show that America will not support an attack, no one has been steeled for the cost of an attack, and Bush hasn't made a clear case yet. He hasn't justified any sort of war effort, only hinted to it, and the growing power of Sadam. If anyone is being overzealous, it's Cheney. He's already personally declared war on Iraq, and made a few dramatic speeches on the supposed evil motives of Sadam. The adminstration is looking for a purpose, but in all the wrong places.
By the way: I find it very hard to beleive your school is recruiting. Where the hell do you live? |

I'm not afraid of Iraq, I don't want to go to war, but seriously - what the hell can Iraq do to the United States? Saddam is scared, you can tell when they show footage of him. And he should be, when he has the most powerful civilization in the history of the world after him. |

| Why would your school recruit? I'm positive you have to be 18 to register anyways... Well, you HAVE to register since registering lets them know you're available on the case of a draft (highly unlikely). If your school IS recruiting, I highly doubt it's a required thing. |

I think his facts are wrong against mandatory recruiting, that's against the law first and foremost. A draft was never issued by congress, and no war plans sit on Bush' desk. The public would not support a war, and he does dare not press one.
The US' standing forces are also HUGE, and there are so many people in reserve. |

mandatory recruiting suks, its just so stupid! children aren't ready to give there lives to fight for their country, its completely rediculous, there just gona get killed, and then have there name on a plaque along side another 50,000 names!
i still dont know what im to think of Bush, i feel hes making some sort of Mistake, th worst thing for me is, Tony blair is backing him! (no surprise *cough* arse licker *cough) so i dont know what that means for me, but i just have a real bad feeling about this war.... |
