| It sucks talking about things like this... Listening to myself and others try to understand something that simply cannot be discerned, at least not until we die...it's just... What if we never find out. And considering the time we've all spent as a species collectively searching, it's unlikely we'll unearth the answer anytime soon! I'm just gonna live my life the way I want to. I want to be kind, dignified, and remembered by someone for the kind of person that I was. I've always thought somewhere in the back of mind that that may be the meaning of life, after all. |

| XenobiumShard if we dont know our purpose doesnt that make our live unnecesarry? And if so wouldn't it give us a goal to find out how we came to live, and why? I think the human race is always searching for awnsers and this is surely the biggest and hardest question. I know you can filosofate (or something like that) bout this for hours but in the end I think it will come down to a few things. We will always keep searching for awnsers on things that intrest us in any way. Second we will always try to survive..... Dont really got time now to go deeper into this gtg :P |

Not all things in life can be answered though, $aiC. Things such as the meaning of life--like faith--focus on the individual. To many, neither exist. Just because we don't have an answer doesn't mean we shouldn't continue living. On the contrary, it gives us something to look forward to. When our lives come to an end, whether or not we have been a good person, the answers to many of our questions will undoubtedly come to us.
I was just saying what I think. You're right, I'm sure we could all go on forever about this topic... But I'll end my involvement here. |

| Everyone has their own purpose, if you don't know what it is, or have done nothing to discover it, you're better off dead. People are very different, it's ignorant to think we were all born for the same purpose. |

| maybe we'll one day reach a level which is so ultimate that we do know every single question that there is. But I think the day that comes is the day that we will stop living. Atleast spiritually. When no goal in live one only becomes a rurouni (wanderer), which only leeds to forgotten memories which in the end will lead to forgotten live.... death.... |

I do not owe my existance to any non-human creator, and if the purpose of life was to worship God, and to deny this is sin, then i would rather have not been born. God (providing he exists) can't blame me for not following a rule that wasn't explained to me with undenyable proof.
This, all in all, is a foolish question. It is like asking why bad things happen to good people; its tacking an additional unnessicary and illogical angle on something that both has no scientific anwser and can vary from person to person. Its like thinking about breathing, its just going to complicate things. |
