Who believes in Fate?

| Who believes in Fate? My friend asked me this right out of the blue the other day and I didn't give an answer. In a sense I was thinking no because I really didn't think that my life was already planned out. I always thought that I was in control of my own life and the paths that I choose. I really want to know the answer if fate exist or not...what do any of you think? |

Heh, heh, heh...Well I believe everything has a purpose on this planet... its hard to exlain what i believe in...I dont believe your life is programed for you and you jes follow it...To me it would make no sense and it would be a very hard thing to accomplish...I believe you make your own fate, choose your own life..."Sink or Swim, Its all up to you now" is kinda how i see it...I am currently tryin to accomplish self reality, the art of seeing oneself...without being oneself...heh, heh, heh |

| hey this is kinda like the Matrix, lol. anyway, I don't believe in fate, I think that there are so many choices in life, there is no way for it to be planned or supposed to happen. |

Well, my mother always taught me that EVERYONE has a purpose in this world, that everyone who is born is born for a reason. She believes this because, essentially, if she had not miscarried before getting pregnant with me, I... well, I wouldn't be here...
We believe that everyone has a choice to make. That you may rise to meet your "Fate" and fulfill your purpose in life, or you may not... But the individual is in control of their destiny! That's about it!  |

| Like KyoukanFactor and XenobiumShard I believe everyone is put on this planet for a reason, we`ll never know what that reason is but there is. I also believe that "destiny" and "fate" are two words used by human to blame their misfortunes and successes on but in my eyes every man, woman and child controlls their own future and we as a species make our own "fate" and that we are not "programmed" by a higher power but influenced by this higher power. |

I don't believe in fate, it would be to much internal dialouge and conscience thought for even a god to calculate  |

I believe in fate to an extent. I think your purpose in life is predeturmined and thats it. Like You are to do this and no matter what you do along the way you willl be there one day. at least.. I think thats what I believe. I cant really tell what i believe  |

I believe that fate exists. But you do not have one set-in-stone fate. You shape your fate.
The choices you make in life can shape things that will later affect you when your older (ie behaviour at school, the way you treat other people).
Everyone has a fate, and everyone can shape it. But everyone shares one ultimate fate, which is death. |

| Asking somebody if they believe in FATE, yes it often is out of the blue. I am not a follower of any religon, the only think I believe in is prewritten or predestined history. This is what we precieve as FATE, nothing more and nothing less. There are greek godesses that were said to surround it. Clotho, Atropos and Latchesis but as far as I know they were only myths made to explain the unexplainable. |
