In some countries they have started to do this, and they have in the United States as well. There was a private school I was thinking about applying at here in Minnesota, that used this system - year round school years. Instead of getting one long summer break, you got 3 one month long breaks every year.
So it was like 3 months school, 1 month break - and it was like that 3 times a year, and then you advance onto the next grade.
Would you like this style of school better, or the original 9 months strait, and a long 3 month summer break? And I know they do this in other parts of the country, my cousin who lives in the L.A. area has school that way.
I think I would like the year round school better. You get a break in all of the seasons, just not summer - which meens a lot more snowboarding for me. |

| I dont really know if i would like this better or not. I do know that there trying to do away with summer break all together cause it was intended for kids to harvest crops n crap and obviously none of us do that any more. |

I'm homeschooled, so I have school year-round.
I don't have a problem with it, the perks of having school at home and making your own schedual make up for it. IMO |

Lucky you being homeschooled I'm just curious- how is it?
OT- Hm I'd like the regular school schedule better I guess... I'm used to it, but I'dl ike to try out the new school system, seems pretty interesting. |

I'm home schooled too, lol! Anyways, I know in some of the area that are close to me, they have year long school but they still get the three month long vacation, so I really wouldn't know the difference... plus I've never heard of it that way where you take 3 months of school and then 1 month of vacation and so forth.
If I was going to public schooling, I think that'd be a bomb, yet, I think you'd have a hard time sinking all the stuff you learned in those 3 months in your head becuase with most people they forget half the stuff they learnedin the school year during summer vacation! Even though I think that'd be the bomb, I still prefer the 9 months of school and the 3 long summer vacation. |

I go to a private school. We have from August 21st to mid October for one term. Then we have a weeks break. Then from late October to Early December as another term. Then we have 1 month off. Then we have late January to April, then 2 weeks off. Then April to June 31st. Then 3 months off. Wheeee.
so that's 4 months and 3 weeks off a year. My system is better than yours *jk* I like our way, we get more time off. |

Bahh *is envious of everyone's school system* Lesse, school started today, semester one ends in December I think, Christmas/New Year holidays, then school again, some Easter break, mmm, what else...
basically, 180 days of school. About 2-3 months of vacation, 2.something or so. |

I go to a catholic school, there for its considered a "private" school. We have year round school, but our year is much shorter then others. Septbember 3rd - May 10th. Our Christmas break is two and a half weeks long, same with Easter. We get about a month off on stuff like that. w00t! |
