What do you value most when looking for someone?
This occured to me, a lot of us base attraction on looks, but a lot of attraction is based on personality too, believe it or not...
So... for you, what personality trates are attractive?
For me, probably a good, intelligent sense of humour. I say intelligent, as in knowing when a joke is appropriate and not taking it too far. Basically if they can make me laugh even when I'm extremely pissed off, they're in.  |

I once wrote an entry on my NuTang (a year ago) about what I'd like in a girl:

Her name is not too common, but is not totally obscure and random, either. It does not matter anyway, since I have the perfect nickname for her, and she has one for me. She is the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. Her beauty is not over-the-top, but it is subtle and perfect in every way. She has a fair to medium complexion, and her hair is dark. She likes to make eye contact whenever she talks, and she penetrates my mind with her deep brown eyes. Her nose is cute and her lips are smooth and full. She likes music very much. She does not like the music I listen to (yet), but is willing to experiment. Either way, she enjoys it when I play guitar and sing for her. She always gives her honest opinion when it comes to my original music, and even helps out. She enjoys watching French movies in bed at night with a cup of vanillia Chai tea, and me right by her. When there is nothing else to do, or when she is tired, she will get in some comfortable position and put her arms around me, and cuddling will commence. We cuddle a lot, and she loves running her fingers through my hair.
She's very outgoing and we often eat out at the restaurants in our city. She shares my intense love for Chinese food and is game to eat it everyday. When we are home, she is an excellent cook. We usually cook together, and I always do my fair share of the chores. We are both a little lazy and messy sometimes, but together we keep our studio apartment clean.
I look forward to meeting her.

Probably the ability to communicate. If you don't have communication, you don't really have a relationship.

Abel's description reminds me alot of my ex-girlfriend, but he left out the part about her being a ***** who reads into everything too much and wrong.
I like smart, attractive girls who enjoy foreing and independent films, will open themselves up to the music I show them, hate social gatherings as much as I do, but remain outgoing. I love dark hair with very light, smooth, skin. Strongly commited, aspiring. The most important thing to me is that I can have a smooth, interesting conversation with her. It's very difficult for me to find that here. I want to stay unmarried in an apartment downtown of a big city (hopefully Chicago) for a long time. |

Someone that can think for herself and let me do the same, while still wanting to hear my opinion and be happy to give me hers. Someone that can find a way to make me smile or even laugh, even when I'm at the lowest point. Someone that will be there for me, through the good and the bad.
