| Does anyone, or could anyone, find the minimum sentence for 'kidnapping' in the United States? I'd be extremely grateful. |

| Apparently, it's 25-75 years...depends on the case, I guess. I couln'd really find much information on actual guidelines for sentencing in Michigan. |

| It sort of depends on the details. For example, there are different penalities if you take someone over state lines, etc. |

Nor could I. Alright my lawyers-in-training, I'll give you the flat details.
Two ladies were robbed at knifepoint and at some time, I suppose, kidnapped before the cops could break it up. The assailant ran, got caught, fourty-five stitches in the head, and taken to jail, to be arraigned on Monday. Could you give me a rough estimate? |

| I'm assuming you're saying he kidnapped both of them? There may be two separate charges because there were two women...in which case, at least 50 years. |

Aye, I figured with all charges (and previous charges and warrants), it'd be back-to-back life sentences. There's a $200,000 bond set right now, but he hasn't seen a judge yet. Damn.
Thank you very much, Kirstin. |

Is this a friend of yours? I think with previous charges, there would be a higher sentence as well. Anytime, Jesse I wish I knew anything about court proceedings. |
