Abortion: Generally pro-choice, as stated in the "Abortion" thread.
Affirmative action: Judge people based on individual merit, not race.
Afghanistan war: We were attacked, so I guess this is necessary. I honestly don't really believe the theory that Bin Laden and Bush are buds, but I think it should've stayed in Afghanistan and just in Afghanistan.
AIDS epidemic: Avoid Africa! j/k Anyway, people need to stay safe out there. Use protection. Educate yourself about avoiding it is the best solution.
Budget deficit: This is abhorable, what with all the funds going into a ****ty, wholly unneccessary war in Iraq. I recently watching a news report on this visitor centre in D.C. that was supposed to be done as far back as 1999. Still lack the funds to get it finished.
Business fraud (e.g., Enron): Lock the crooked corperate ****ers up and throw away the key.
CIA management shakedown: Ah, whatever. They need their priorities straight.
Corporate liability: They should be liable.
Death penalty: Abolish it. Way too inhumane.
Defense spending: When it's actually constructive to legitimatly defend ourselves, yes. If it's based on irrational fears, it becomes something of an issue.
Drug policy: Mary Jane = legalise. And stop arresting people and get on those murderers, who actually do real harm.
Education system: Could be better. The public school system is ****ed.
Election protection: Protect one of the few ways we can make our voices heard, our votes. Please.
Energy sources: Find natural alternatives that work.
Free trade/NAFTA: no real opinion, sorry guys.
Gambling: it's not hurting anyone.
Gay marriage: why not?
Gun control: Check criminal records would be one safeguard. I'm not sure if an age limit existed on firearms, but it should be at least somewhere in the upper 20s.
Hate crimes laws: Uhm. Crime is crime? if a crime has hurt society, punish them.
Health care: If a national system can work for Canada, I don't see why it couldn't realistically work for the U.S. as well.
Illegal immigration: The only reason it happens is that we make the process so ****ing long and tedious. And what Aaron said.
Iraq war: Unnecessary. Show me a link to 9/11 and I'll change my mind. Oh wait, there is no link.
Lawsuits: Judges need to dismiss more of the petty, "ofmg he spilled his ice cream on me" lawsuits. If it's a corporation and it pulls something that is truly shady (for an example), it's fine.
Legalize marijuana: Please do.
Military draft: Atrocious idea. It contradits a free society.
Outsourcing: Stop the outsourcing.
Patriot Act: Abhorable
Prison reform: Ditto to what Aaron said. Too many murderers serve shorter jail terms than what they are given due to lack of room in the prison. I'm all for rehabilitaion as well.
Prostitution: Legalize and regulate. it works for the California porn stars easily enough.
School vouchers: I dunno.
Secret prisons: No. Just no.
Sex education: Educate people about sex, and be as candid as is needed. Covering this up for children only propagates the whole taboo thing the U.S. has, which is pretty ****ing stupid in and of itself.
Size of government: In contrast to it's presense in our days to day lives, from imposing retarded safety laws in workplaces to tapping our wires, the less it interferes and mingles in our lives, the better.
Stem cell research: Sure
Taxes: The government needs funds somehow.
Use of oil: We need alternatives.
Valerie Plame leak: ****ed up, and it'll probably go unpunished in a republican controlled government. How ****.
War on Drugs: ****ed up.
War on Terrorism: Also ****ed up. Even more ****ed up as this is used to make the stupid ****ers to actually listen to the fearful rhetoric of "don't let the terrorists win" fall into their every whim. End this war, and handle terrorism sensibly.
Warrantless wiretapping: Any intrusion of this nature requires a warrent.
Welfare reform: I don't know enough about this.

Abortion: Pro-choice. I refuse to make a morality judgement on something that's none of my business in the first place.
Affirmative action: Can't justify keeping it, but can't justify getting rid of it at the same time.
Afghanistan war: Haven't kept up with it enough recently to have an opinion.
AIDS epidemic: Let's start by handing out condoms in Africa. Hell, let's just actively promote condom use in general.
Budget deficit: Where the hell is the accountability?
Business fraud (e.g., Enron): Drain 'em of every last dime, throw them in prison, and then inform them that they will be paying pensions to every last employee they cheated -- even if their descendants have to help too. Just because they didn't physically hurt anyone doesn't mean that no one got hurt.
CIA management shakedown: Can't remember.
Corporate liability: There needs to be more of it.
Death penalty: Reserve it for the worst of the worst -- serial murderers, serial rapists, and mass murderers -- people where there is zero hope of rehabilitation and show no regard for the lives of others.
Defense spending: Where is it going again?
Drug policy: The hard stuff should stay illegal -- I think there would still be problems if it were legalized, albeit very different problems. Better education might improve things without having to resort to new legislation; I'm not talking about DARE-style crap, but more of an objective, clinical approach to illegal drugs and their effects.
Education system: Needs to be fixed. Standardized testing is a farce, college is too expensive, and am I ever glad that I finished high school before Bush got into office. Start by failing more students. I'm not kidding. Make sure that only those that should be passing are passing, and work with students that are struggling and willing to put forth the effort to pass.
Election protection: I thought this was a no-brainer. Support.
Energy sources: Is there such a thing as too much research into alternative energy sources? There's been work done on the hydrogen fuel cell, but I don't think it's practical yet.
Free trade/NAFTA: Free trade is supposed to have the maximum economic benefits... or so I've been taught. I have to agree with whoever brought up tariffs on imports from countries with human rights issues, however.
Gambling: If a state or municipality is prepared to handle any potential increase in crime that may result, go ahead and build a few casinos. I couldn't care less. And by the way, I hardly count a lottery as gambling.
Gay marriage: It's affecting you... how, exactly? Quit whining, and let them marry already.
Gun control: Ideally, I'd ban everything except for game hunting weapons and guns classified as historical artifacts, and register all of those. That'll never happen, so I'll settle for thorough background checks, extended waiting periods, and purchase limits on both personal weapons and ammunition.
Hate crimes laws: Support. Get over your bigotry, and go see a psychiatrist.
Health care: The system is broken. There should be universal health care for at least the most basic health needs. Oh, and can we start investigating drug manufacturers? Prices are out of control, the patent games are obnoxious as hell, and the phrase "institutionalized fraud" keeps coming to my mind.
Illegal immigration: Would be less of an issue if legal immigration were easier.
Iraq war: Why the hell are we over there again?
Lawsuits: Sometimes are quite necessary -- some groups/individuals need the hell sued out of them to get a point. Some are stupid -- give judges the discretion to throw out those.
Legalize marijuana: Neither for nor against. As long as I don't have to breathe the smoke, I don't care.
Military draft: Show me a war that is necessary to fight and where it is necessary to start a draft in order to get enough troops, and I'll support it. Please note that the last war that I saw the necessity in fighting was World War II.
Outsourcing: Don't like it, but... any corporation that chooses to engage in it has to bear the consequences -- no whining when their layoffs come back to haunt them.
Patriot Act: Isn't this supposed to be a democracy?
Prison reform: Please! If they're willing to be rehabilitated, rehabilitate them.
Prostitution: Eh, I don't like the way the legal system handles it, but I can't say that I support legalization either. I'd need to see data on how legalized prostitution has worked in other countries before I came to a definitive stance on it.
School vouchers: Wouldn't be necessary if the schools were better in the first place...
Secret prisons: Only make it easier to carry out illegal (or just plain unethical) activities... Shut them all down NOW, and start holding people accountable.
Sex education: Should be comprehensive, and any parent that objects can remove their kid from the program -- and thus forfeit the right to whine when their kid gets knocked up/knocks someone up/gets sick because they didn't know what a condom was.
Size of government: I care more about whether or not it's functioning and efficient than how big it is. If the size is off, it'll be non-functional, inefficient, or both. (Like now.)
Stem cell research: Support.
Taxes: I have a problem when they're not being spent properly.
Use of oil: Alternative fuel research, anyone? And investigate Big Oil, please, as much as I know that's not about to happen.
Valerie Plame leak: GROW UP. Whatever the problem was (a desire for political sabotage? I can't remember), the passive-aggressive BS of leaking a CIA agent's identity wasn't the solution. Punish these idiots, then publicly shame them.
War on Drugs: Not working. What about shutting down the big distributors, rehabilitating the users, and leaving the middlemen in search of new work?
War on Terrorism: Words fail me. Someone please remind me of what good is coming out of this. I'm drawing a blank.
Warrantless wiretapping: Stay the hell out of my and everyone else's business. Want to wiretap? Get the warrant.
Welfare reform: Please. Make sure that the destitute (with or without children) get the help they need to get back on their feet, and give the moochers an ultimatum. The only people that should be getting welfare permanently are the permanently disabled.

Abortion: People should have the right to choose in whats best for them. Its not right for a rap person to have the reminder for 9 months in what has happend to them, or if the child is going to be very ill. To save it from the pain and bad life it would have.

Affirmative action: What's the point?

Afghanistan war: This is SO stupid. It was wrong for the US to go in, and all it has done is caused more pain and deaths.

AIDS epidemic: They should be giving out condoms, and giving better sex ed, to help prevent this ****.

Budget deficit: I'm not in US

Business fraud (e.g., Enron): They should go to jail and get ass raped for their stupid greed.

CIA management shakedown: Not in the US

Corporate liability: There should be more stuff like this in the WHOLE WORLD!

Death penalty: Let then rot in jail, don't give them the easy way out.

Defense spending: YEah, you can never spent too much

Drug policy: Its stupid. Smoking does more harm then some of the other drugs, but its ok. Where are people's brains at...

Education system: In Canada its the best, IMO.

Energy sources: Use more wind and water, then coal and crap. Talk about killing the air we breath just to get a little power.

Gay marriage: Let people do in what they want with there lives. Who gives a **** in what they do in the bedroom, and its not like like its being forced onto us. They just want a chance to life as they please.

Sorry for not saying more, I'm tired

Abortion: Pro-Choice
Affirmative action: A shame we still have to have it...(I'm a Minority)
Afghanistan war: This was a decent response, but we still don't have Osama...
AIDS epidemic: We need to increase our efforts! But we also need to look at AIDS in the whole world rather than just one place - Africa. And forget this Abstinence only crap - People are going to have Sex regardless...Condoms for everyone an, woman, and child!
Budget deficit: I thought Republicans didn't like spending money...Oh that's right - they don't spend it, they just steal it.
Business fraud (e.g., Enron): Death Penalty - they've ruined countless lives. 30 years or w/e is not justified.
CIA management shakedown: (Not very educated in the topic) Interesting to say the least.
Corporate liability: Stop screwing your customers/employees
Death penalty: Neutral, however I do think it's better to let a criminal rot in solitary for the rest of his/her life than to outright kill them.
Defense spending: Spending WAAAAY too much on Defense when we could be spending the money on Social Security, Education, Medicare/Medicaid, etc.
Drug policy: We're losing the war on Drugs. Marijuana should be legal (at least in small quantities). This would help free up law enforcement to go after the big stuff.
Education system: Well, when graduation rates in the US are somewhere in the 70% range, something needs to be done. Forget No Child Left Behind. Do something about College tuition! I can't afford to have all these loans when I get out!
Election protection: I want my voice to be heard...
Energy sources: We need Renewable Sources now. We're running out of Fossil Fuel and it's getting way too expensive...
Free trade/NAFTA: (I don't know much about this issue)
Gambling: Hey, it brings it state revenue at a time when many states are in the red...
Gay marriage: Let them get married, adopt kids, have families, etc. What's so wrong about two people who love each other?
Gun control: I don't like "Conceal and Carry" laws...Semi/fully Automatic weapons need to be banned and any other "military" type weapons. For what reason does the average need them?
Hate crimes laws: Every crime is a hate crime...
Health care: Universal Health Insurance. It's getting rather pricey for those of us who have insurance! I can't even imagine what it's like for those without...
Illegal immigration: People need jobs, and employers need people to fill these jobs...However, they take such low pay that it hurts legal immigrants and citizens. Not sure what to do...
Iraq war: GET THE F*** OUT OF THERE! THERE WAS NO REASON TO BE IN THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE!
Lawsuits: While there are too many Frivolous lawsuits, I think we've raised the bar so high that those who really have been wronged are not getting justice.
Legalize marijuana: Do it...Because I want to try it! Heh...If we legalize it, law enforcement can better focus on the worse drugs...
Military draft: I'm not joining the military. Ever. Volunteer Forces only please.
Outsourcing: Undermines the people here at home. No longer is a thing called "Job Security."
Patriot Act: "In the name of National Security?" I don't think so. I want my Freedoms.
Prison reform: We need to focus more on rehabilitation rather than punishment. Most criminals go in as rookies and come out as professionals. Simple incarceration isn't working.
Prostitution: It's a shame that women (and some men) have to sell their bodies like that...
School vouchers: Public monies should not be flowing in to private, especially religious, schools. I don't pay taxes so the bible-thumpers down the street can send their kids to learn about Jesus. If they want to do that, they can use their own damn money.
Secret prisons: Violation of Geneva Convention? I sure think so.
Sex education: Kids need to be taught about sex and given condoms so that they can make the right choices. Abstinence is important, but condoms need to be the primary way. In this country, we want what we can't have or are not supposed to have. Some teens are going to have sex regardless and the least we can do is to make sure they're safe.
Size of government: I'm in favor of Gov't regulation of certain industries, such as the energy sector. The Gov't needs to put in hand in big corporations. However, the Gov't should not be the moral police.
Stem cell research: If one "person" (a group of cells is not a person) can save the lives of so many others, how is that wrong? We need to fund this!
Taxes: Seems like I'm paying so much, but not seeing enough...But I suppose they help somewhere...
Use of oil: DESTROY EVERY HUMMER. If we're not going to do renewable energy, than we need to use our oil wisely. So start by getting rid of everything that doesn't get at least 20mpg on the highway...
Valerie Plame leak: I hope Chaney and Rove get their asses tossed in jail for a long time...
War on Drugs: We're Losing...
War on Terrorism: We're losing...Seems like we're only creating more of them, huh?
Warrantless wiretapping: Violation of our rights. What's so hard about going to a FISA court? Let me guess...National Security, right?
Welfare reform: We need to help our fellow brothers and sisters when they're down and out. At the same time, Welfare abusers need to be stopped.

...If you haven't guessed...I'm a Democrat, heh.

Abortion: Against in all instances besides when the life of the mother is in Jeopardy.

Affirmative Action: For it. BUT it should be based on economics, not race. Poor people, who are white, black, maroon, whatever should get a boost to help send them on their way in life.

War in Afghanistan: For entirely. As am I in support of the War on Terror.

Aids Epidemic: Can enough be done in Africa to stop this? No. Here in the states, it's self-perpetuating because of people's promiscuous lifestyes. The problem could be easily solved and the disease isolated but people refuse to be responsible. And no, condoms are not enough. Sorry, but it's true.

Budget Deficit: Bush's liberal spending is to blame along with the war. But his ridiculous spending is unforgivable.

Business Fraud: Money is power and power corrupts. Thats the bottom line. Those involved in events like the Enron scandal deserve to spend life in prison. But that includes people like Martha Stewart who engage in "insider trading".

CIA management shakedown: not sure what this is about.

Death Penalty: For it. But should only be used in cases when the criminal has been shown to be a real thorn in society's side. Doing life in a max or super-max is much tougher. But prisons need to be much tougher than they are now, no more pumping iron and watching tv in your cell all day. HARD PHYSICAL LABOR.

Defense Spending: Not any real opinion.

Drug Policy: All drugs should be illegal. I understand that marijuana is fairly safe, but it doesn't mean we should bring it out into the open. Look what happened in San Francisco. Opened a bunch of weed clinics, people got it and sold it on the streets. it was completely out of control and they had to shut the clinics down. Legallizing drugs is a bad idea.

Education: Public schools were the worst thing to ever happen to education here in the United States. Money is not the answer!!! Schools should be treated as a regular business venture where there is competition among the schools so that parents can choose what school they want their child to go to and what kind of education they recieve.

Energy: we need something better. Fossil fuels are running out and are severely harmful to the environment. I really think we could have an alternative source of energy by now, but Bush doesn't care. It's BS

Gambling: I'm down with gambling as long as it doesn't become an addiction which it can. I play poker but don't blow tons of money on it.

Gay Marriage: I'm against it. But not because "we need to protect the sanctity of Marriage" oppose it on Biblical grounds. However, I recognize that it's inevitable. I frankly don't care because although it will be recognized by the state, it will not be recognized by God, which is where it counts.

Gun Control: I don't have a problem with people owning them, but I suppose there ought to be stricter background checks and requirements before you can own one. I'm not too informed on the subject.

Hate Crimes: Aren't all crimes hate crimes? It's a ridiculous concept. Especially those such as in Europe which prohibit Holocaust denial. Or outlawing certain portions of the Bible which are deemed hateful to homosexuals or whoever.

Health Insurance: It's hard to know where I should stand. I understand as well as anyone the need for health insurance, as a CF patient, but it's also very easy to abuse. Should chronic smokers recieve gov't health care. What about people who were crippled by irresponsible behavior? I don't know...

Illegal Immigration: It's a severe problem for all parties involved. The Mexican people need jobs that their vastly corrupt gov't won't provide, but their presence here is further increasing our defecit. And don't give me the "their bolstering our economy" crap.

Iraq War: was in favor of it, but the Bush administration ****ed it up royally by not using al the resources at their disposal to defeat the insurgents and control the population until a stable gov't was in place. Now it's up in the air. However, we were justified both morally and legally going in there. If you want to debate me on it I'm game.

Legalize marijuana: See above. BAD IDEA.

Patriot Act: Protection or civil liberties, everyone has to take their side. We're living in a dangerous new world and sacrifices must be made if you want to be safe. I can't say that I'm entirely for it, but I haven't read the actual bill.

Prison Reform: Stiffer penalties, end of story. Restorative justice is a joke. Child predators do not deserve a break. Ted Kaszinsky does not deserve a break! Zacarias Moussaoui does not deserve a break. I'm for forgiveness, but I'm also for protecting the community.

Prostitution: Keep it illegal, it is an incredibly dangerous "business". Puts tons of lives in danger, not just the two people involved.

School Vouchers: For it 100%. To the gentleman(?) above, secularists are not the only ones paying taxes. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the governemtn giving people the money that was going to go to public schools so that they can use it on a private institution when they don't want their child exposed to the BS which goes on at public schools.

Secret Prisons: Violation of Geneva conventions? Give me a break. The murderers being held in secret prisons (terrorists) do not abide by the Geneva Convention regulations and are therefore not granted them. It's bull**** when newspapers tell about the presence of secret prisons which house terrorists because then that nation becomes a possible target for terrorists because they're aiding the US, and THEN the host country is less likely to give us a hand later on.

Size of Gov't: Smaller gov't all around.

Taxes: "Render to Caesar..." Taxes are a *****, no doubt. But it's necessary for the country to operate. You don't pay taxes, than you shouldn't be granted all the benefits that payment of them allows.

War on drugs: Keep fighting.

War on Terror: Again, keep fighting. I'm for it.

Warrentless wiretapping: There's no reason Bush shouldn't have gotten a warrent from the FISA court. But all this conspiracy theory crap is bogus.
