Well, now that I've gotten your attention, let's address the subject. I've done quite some digging and although it doesn't surprise me, it's disappointing how much anti-mod semitism is going around.
The typical arguments that mods are hypocrites are absolutely laughable. I would love to ask every member who brands the H-word into the flank of us mods to define it first. Also, the idea that people should be able to get modded because they want to be and their friends (shockingly) support them as well is hilarious. Modship is not a high school run election. Popularity means zilch when it comes down to it.
Yet even though I can systematically dismember every single argument that mods are "dumbyheads who should die," the hatred is still existent. This is a discussion, (key word) about the supposed reasoning behind such brutal attacks. If one of the members would like to represent the rest in the debate, I'd love to talk with you. Why, exactly are mods morons? |

Er I thought the anti mod sentiment died out a couple of days ago.
Only thing I've seen are my own posts about mod conspiracies...but those were in S7P and as such aren't to be taken seriously... |

Honestly, I have few problems with mods. Every member is the same here, I think it's people being jealous or Mecanon upset them. -.- then newbies complaining about things. It's a lack of respect. I find few mods to be anything but helpful.

there WAS the breif Kiwi uprising but as Lennon pointed out it was a S7P thing and mostly just venting and being oddballs, we're not actually communists eitherfor mother russia
but most people i've talked to get annoyed with the mods at every site, it's msotly because as not being put in the position of havein to deal with being the people looked up to as roel models and the keepers of the peace and so forth, no on has to look through their eyes and know why they do the thigns tey do, they onyl see thigns in their ow lighht and anything that does not satisy them is automaticaly deemed wrong or unfair |

i probably shouldn't post this...
i was once a member, but i was banned, so i got a new name. i got banned for making a thread that shows my hatred for the mods, and pretty much everything. i admit it was a bad idea, but then a moderator went a little overboard on it. "he" who i will leave un-named acted in his usual way and went into his criticism on me. he made fun of me on something that couldn't be a reason to make fun of someone, because i made so in the post. after that, i apologized to the moderators, ofcourse, you know what they did? they banned me. they didn't tell me anything, or even say anything to me. they just Banned me from posting on the names, and going on them at all. he general attitude of MOST mods are annoying. they post around and use their moderating "eligibility" to do unnecessary stuff. im talking about stuff like editing a post before warning a member they did something wrong, banning people for wrong reason, and influencing new-members to their side of an arguement because they have "respect from the members". they also complain about crap no one wants to hear, im sure you all know what i mean, and if you don't you can pm me and ill give you some links. they act superior is pretty much what im saying. they act WAY to superior. i don't know what much of them were like before they were modded except for elmdor. (he hasn't changed at all though) i have only been here for 3 months, and moderators have been here for longer. but i dont think that they would of acted the same way they do now that their mods. their superior attitude is what gets to most members.
whatever, this is my opinion. |

Ahh, I was waiting for a member with the "I Hate Mods" opinion.
First of all, I would appreciate it if you posted the links to such complaint threads or unnecessary warnings in the thread. This shouldn't be some secret accusation that mods are all evil. If we actually are hideous beasts, let us know. You will not get banned for pointing out our mistakes.
Also, your points that mods persuade members to join their side in debates is unavoidable. Members will always want to suck up to mods. Which isn't really understandable. Spoiler : click to show/hide [ We're tiny authoritative figures of a web site...not gods. ]
And if members feel they should look up to us, how is that to be blamed on us. Show me evidence of a mod saying, "I'm a mod. Bow down," and I might start to believe ya there. |

well, i didn't mean that they actually went out and said it. but you know the workings of it all. if someone disagreees with a mod, they are usually laughed at. You know its true, don't deny. so by that happening the mods force people to join their side.
(im making a bad come-back, not feeling to good right now)

People look up to mods? I thought you said people hated them....
I mean lately there's been a lot of evidence to suggest people are disagreeing with mods more and more...
Only times I'd side with a mod is when I agree with them, when I think they're wrong I'm more than happy to point it out to them...all the members are like that....I thought anyway. |

| well, then u thought wrong. did i say people hate the mods? i thought i said i disliked them. whenever i go to a thread where mods post, people who would normally disagree with the opinion or subject usually don't say anything to disagree with the moderator, or just agree with them. (this is based on what ie seen in the last month) |
