If you are a total dumbass then a video game may effect the way you think..But if you have an IQ over 10 then I don't think they are nothing more then fun..

You get as much violence from a computer game as you get on T.V

So NO!

I've played violent games and seen violent movies, probably some of the more extreme of the spectrum, and I've never commited a true act of violence. So, no.

It depends how crazy the person is... -.-; Wasn't there some stupid kids who committed some crime and then blamed it on video games within the last year?

Well, I voted yes, although I don't know of any personal cases of violence spawned by video games. But I have heard of other people, who were not mature enough to realize the difference between killing someone in a game and the consequences of violence irl. I don't believe that young kids that are easily swayed should play or watch violent games. But at a certain point, maturity is reached and it has no influence on the mind of the gamer.

I have to vote no, since violence in the media only de-sensitizes people to it, not promote it. Seeing someone skydiving on TV is just going to make us familiar with the idea, not dying to go do it ourselves.

I also voted no.

Maybe there's a slight possibility that a video game could trigger a violent act, but the person in question needs to be pretty (as in a lot) damaged/unstable to begin with for that to happen. That video-games in themselves should produce violence amongst people is an utterly absurde idea and yet another pathetic scapegoat for society and uncapable parents to cling to. Plain denial and idiocy.

True Violence rests in the soul, Some let it be awakened by futile and insecure sources such as television or Video games. If you truly are the violent type then yes it will affect you, But unlike the violent type most arent prone to react to what we see or play.
