yeah i know i start to say its not a game into a movie its just a new movie b/c thats all it really is
i know this is about games into movies but oh well someone interviewed stan lee and its pretty much on the subject he talking about movies vs. games:
"When you talk about games evolving over the years and becoming more like movies, in many ways, they've gone beyond movies. To do a movie is difficult, but it's linear. There's a beginning, a middle and an end, and that's it - you write a story. In a videogame, you're writing many stories within the story. It's a totally different structure and a totally different philosophy of writing and, I think, a much, much more difficult one. I get the feeling more work goes into these videogames than even goes into the movies."
and one last thing hopefully gears of war can redeem it heres some info:
The Dark Knight, 300, Batman Begins - if those aren't enough reasons to say that production company Legendary Pictures has quite an incredible rep, we don't know what else to tell you.
Soon, the Gears of War movie will join the production company's amazing film roster as they have agreed with New Line Cinema to co-produce and finance the video game movie adaptation. The movie will still be directed by Len Wiseman, who also directed both Underworld movies and Live Free or Die Hard, and the screenplay will be written by Chris Morgan who worked on the recent Angelina Jolie action flick, Wanted.
Legendary Pictures also produced the Watchmen movie coming out in 2009 and is producing the long-anticipated big screen invasion of the massive World of Warcraft film. Gears of War 2 developed by Epic Games will be coming out this November 7 exclusively for the Xbox 360. |
