I heard you can put PSX games on your PSP somehow. I think it would be cool if I could put FF7 or 8 on my PSP. I just would like to know if that is legal and if there are risks.

Alright! my talents are finally need here lol, well there is a way to play FF7 or FF8 on PSP cause i have both on my memory cards. First of all for it to be legal you will have to own the game making downloading copies or making backups legal. Then to play it you will have to hack you PSP, meaning puting Custom Firmware on it. Right now you have Official firmware or you wouldnt be asking this question. Hacking is completely legal as firmware is freely distributed and modification is therfore no longer illegal. To install CFW(custom firmware) you will need to either buy a datel tool battery or make your own into a pandoras battery via hardmod. Both of those batteries are types of service mode batteries which are required. Then you will need to make a MMS(Magic Memory Stick) which is a memory card with service mode operation files on it and is also required. Ill go get you some tutorial links and will be back in a moment.
EDIT:
here is link that should handle any hacking, MMS, and Pandora
