Some gaming websites are speculating that FFXIII may be in line for a Mature rating, a first in the FF series.

Michael has pointed out that the FF series is 20 years old now- Are SE going to bring a newer, adult flavour to the FF franchise?

PSXextreme and FF-XIII.net believe it may do and earn a Mature rating due to "a great deal more blood in the trailers and screenshots than we're used to seeing from a typical FF entry" which can be seen in trailers for FFXIII.

Its all just air in the wind at the moment.

That being said, would a more darker, adult FF be appealing?
