As said in the recent announcement, activity has been slow recently, so as an added incentive to get people posting more, you will now receive RP for making threads. As long as the thread is half decent then it will be rewarded.
For a good thread, a member will receive 150 RP (the amount rewarded for quality posts). If that thread is good enough and receives over 30 replies then the creator will receive a further 150 RP.
A good thread is defined by a few main factors.
- Originality
- How interesting the topic is
- Whether the topic encourages discussion
Obviously not all threads can be original, and so that isnt a necessaty, however the second, and even more so the third points are very important.

RP rewards for threads will go back to normal once activity returns so make the most of this.
