Hey,
Edman will be moving the site for us to my dedicated server which makes daily and weekly backups of the entire site and is super solid and secure. We are doing this mainly for added security so we always have fresh and complete backups of our forum database and main site content.
It is also being done in light of the recent severe lagging the boards have been experiencing, although that seems to have corrected itself. In any case, I have room on the other server, and the support there is better and very quick. Normally they lift the phone on the third ring 24/7.. no ticket bull**** or stalling.
If you see the boards offline for a short period of time, it will be due to nameservers propogating and the like. |
