(OOC: Good luck, Adam. Hopefully this should be a decent battle)

Rain drops tapped against the window pains of a small house on the outskirts of a quiet Drian settlement. A lone figure sat motionless in a small empty room. His eyes were closed, but he was not asleep. The ability of foresight needed deep concentration, and even the slight noise of the rainfall within the otherwise silent atmosphere made it hard to stay focused. Slowly but surely though the tapping turned into more of a blurred sound that made it possible to be ignored, and the man in the room crept into a trance, and surrounded himself in the streams of consciousness.

The mans name was Hyvon Lore. He was a drian of high regard, and, although unknown to the people of his world, of great importance to the upper realms. At this moment in time he was searching the future for clues of a possible job, or of dangers that may have been coming his way. Lore worked for the gods, and so because of this he sometimes made powerful enemies without being aware of it. Simply because of jealousy or someone wanting to test their power usually.

As he slipped deeper and deeper into his trance, the darkness caused by having his eyes shut slowly dispersed, and instead was filled with the vision of a world that was very much new to him. Snow streamed down heavily, but fairly slowly from the nights sky above. Even though a lot of the snow got caught up in the branches of the tall trees that were dotted around everywhere, it was still thick. As Lore’s vision moved through the woods, he reached a clearing where there was a burnt out fire and a few cans of some strange food. Someone had obviously made camp here sometime recently, and the drian soon saw who.

Laying in the snow not far from the camp fire was an oriental-looking human male. He had a muscular build, and that combined with his bald head gave him a menacing look. However he still seemed like an ordinary human being. Then Lore noticed the weapons around him, and the powerful presence of the man became truly apparent. The two small axes that he had on him were of a very unique design to most ordinary axes, and if Lore hadn’t owned his own sword then he would’ve been highly impressed by them. The fact that the axes looked like they could be in some way related to his sword intrigued him though instead. He wished to know their origin, and more about the man who carried them.

At this point Hyvon would’ve usually tried to read the mans mind through the vision, but as the idea came to him, the mans eyes snapped open and the strangest thing happened: Lore was pushed out of his trance and the vision dissolved. If he’d been forced out of the trance then it meant it’d take a long time to get into his mind, and Lore wasn’t willing to wait that long. He wanted to know who this guy was now, he’d have to go to that world and find out.

As the drian opened his eyes though he was greeted by the presence of someone he’d came to recognize only too well. A fairly tall man with an air of pure superiority and power stood in front of him. He was dressed in a white tuxedo, his white beard was cut short tidily and his hair was combed over in a way that corresponded with his overall appearance well. He didn’t look too happy at all though.

“How can I help you, Zeanous?” Lore said at once, in an attempt to try and hide what he was intending to do, as Zeanous seemed to be against it. Lore knew that the very fact that the god was stood before him meant that he already knew what he intended to do though.

Zeanous sighed and then replied “I think you know the answer to that, Hyvon. Whenever I’ve asked you to go after anyone, it has been a being that has threatened the way of life of a world. The reason for this is because I only interfere with the way of the worlds if I really need to. Any other time I only use influences to try to change what I would prefer to change. If I were to change anything I wanted to change right out, then there would’ve been no reason to give any being the ability to think for themselves and choose their own path. Of course, I seem as though I’m contradicting myself here, but you are a sub-being of heaven. You do my biddings, and by choosing to go after a good man for your own personal gain you would be seeming to do it on behalf of heaven. You forget that if you killed this man, you would have to then meet him again at the trials. The last thing any of us need or want is hatred being formed against heaven. A rebellion against heaven could be crippling to the worlds. So can you see why I was concerned and had to come here?”

Hyvon waited and listened to everything his senior had to say courteously, but so far he hadn’t even decided what he was going to do about this new find, and so to start talk about such things happening was a bit hasty, and he reiterated his thoughts accordingly.

“I haven’t even decided what I’m doing myself yet” said Lore as he got to his feet. “and I’m certainly not going to go rushing straight into a battle with an enemy that holds such weaponry. I just want to know a bit more about him, and if it comes to battle, I only plan on testing him a little. I wont kill him.”

“If someone appeared from nowhere inquiring about your weaponry though, wouldn’t you be a little weary, and untrusting of the person. No doubt he will think you’re trying to steal them and attack you in an attempt to steal them. Then again though you haven’t been in a battle for a long time now, the worlds have been far too peaceful as of late, and you could do with some practice. As could the foreign warrior. Be warned though, if anything goes wrong you’ll be cast aside as a rogue entity, and become an enemy of heaven. It’d be the only way we could keep peoples faith in us.” The god replied.

Lore picked up his belt that held his sword and gun, strapped them around his waist, and agreed to the will of heaven before bidding farewell to Zeanous, and closing his eyes in order to diffuse his body for the transfer of its particles into the unknown world he was heading into.

The cold of this new world hit him at once. It was far colder than the part of his home world that he lived in, and fighting in such conditions would become difficult, especially with such thick snow around his feet too. Drians were strong minded though, and he tried to focus on the task in hand I order to forget the freezing conditions.

Even though the snow was thick, visibility still wasn’t too bad at the moment, and Hyvon wanted to get a little closer before we was seen. He used his telekinetic power to move the snow from around his feet into the air in front, and raised the speed of as much of the snow coming down as he could at the same time. This caused something of a small scale blizzard, which covered his path until he was pretty much on top of his opponent. As he approached where the man had been in his vision, he heard a cry, but was unable to make it out properly. He took his sword out of its sheath just in case, and the small amount of moonlight that made it through the trees shimmered off the swords surface as Lore brought it across his body and held it at his side. Slowly he crept further forward.

The man was in sight now, crouched with his head down to protect himself from the snow storm around him. Lore approached the man cautiously, and allowed the blizzard to subside to the gentle decent that it had took earlier. The battle would be much fairer this way, and far more worthwhile. Standing in front of this new enemy, his eyes ablaze with the adrenaline brought with the oncoming of a battle, the guide of the damned raised his sword as if to strike down onto his opponent, before twisting it in mid air and plunging it into the ground. As he did so, the deep snow around them was blasted to the side to make way for a battlefield.

“Those axes,” Lore said in with a sense of authority in his voice “where did you find them?”. He waited for a second and then said “I’ll take them from your corpse as a trophy of this battle”

Of course Hyvon Lore didn’t intend to really kill the Chinese warrior, but he had to make him fight somehow.
