Many questions have been popping up here and there around the forums about the new battle system, Version 4, the forums, etc., and here to set the record straight is afterlab, webmaster of Final Fantasy Republic.
Note: Please DO NOT post on this forum, it is for the ue of the interview only, you can post your comments elsewhere.
FFX: First, thanks for being with us afterlab.
FFX: What's your next big project for FFrepublic?
Afterlab:I have several actually. Currently, i'm skipping in between the Battle System v3.0 and Clans System. I am working on matching styles and functionality between the two.
FFX: In some forums you've hinted about a Version 4 for Final fantasy Republic, when is the new version coming out?
A: Final Fantasy Republic v4.0 will restart it's construction later in May, so I can finish it sometime in the Summer. Once more information can be detailed on the version, it will be announced publicly.
FFX: And to add to that, are the forums also going to be updated to V. 4?
A: This is a very conflicting matter. I haven't released any information as to whether or not the forums would be integrated with the v4.0 build. If I was going to, a lot of features including the Battle System, would have to be reformatted to work correctly.
FFX: What are your thoughts on the new look on FFX-2?
Final Fantasy X-2 looks nice. Although Final Fantasy X wasn't too shabby, Final Fantasy X-2 looks better due to the fact of it's cleaner design, new storyline, weapons, monsters, airship, and locations.
FFX: What direction do you see FF games going in, in terms of story, battle system, etc.?
A:Since the Square-Enix merger was made public on April 1st, I can now say that I have renewed my trust in the Final Fantasy franchise. After a year without a release, it made me question the effectiveness behind Squaresoft's willingness to continue the series outside of Japan.
That's it for Part 1 of the Afterlab interview, check back for part 2, soon to come! |
